I think shoes should be optional. With the drawings I've done so far this week, some critters have shoes, some don't.

I figure anyone in lines of work where foot hazards are common (construction, plane maintenance, military, etc.) would probably wear some kind of shoes or boots simply for safety purposes. Same reason you have hardhats and gloves and whatnot.

Others might wear them simply 'cause, hey, nice shoes. Says a lot if you can afford to wear fancy shoes, y'know?

And some folks might decide to go barefoot, because... paws are good for that. Both paws and shoes are fun to draw, so no harm in both, yeah?

It sounds like you want shoes in about the same situations you'd want gloves.

I was working on sketches while hanging out with friends, last night, and drew the basic body for this guy, then asked everyone what they'd bring with them on an airplane if they were a fox guy in a bowler hat, and added it in. I am not so sure this guy should be allowed to fly...

hey guys! I'm still around, but pretty busy. I'll have a big batch of more inked characters as soon as I can, and I'm sorry it's taken me a little longer than I anticipated. I won't be able to check in on a meeting today - I have to finish another project - but will try to be around next Sunday.
