We are currently hammering out details of what we want factions and capitals and trade and such to look like. Meanwhile, our loyal coders are banging out tons and tons of code... (Matej, PLEASE do not fail your thesis for Fauxrates.) Soon we will need lots of story/history submissions. Island names, histories, interesting info... world politics... individuals of note... that sort of thing. The coders are aiming for a very rough, .1-.5 sorta version of a playable game by the start of the year. Version 1.0 will likely be a decent map, with trade, combat, at least some of the planes and at least some of the islands. Hopefully that can be done mid-2012. We will playtest the heck out of it, polish, and more polish. 2.0 I'm hoping can be done by 2013... 2.0 is roughly where I see Skyrates as being a few rounds ago. Everything will be in place, stable, looking decent if not great, and ready to be released to the wide audiences. Perhaps Kongregate/armorgames/etc. I'd like to have some microtransactions to help cover server costs.. titles, avatar and plane customizations, etc. 3.0 can be more polish, more planes & islands, and big RP events. That's my rough outline
