Someone's been touring Greece lately. Or perhaps a list of islands on wikipedia. This Generator makes "Vaguely Latinate names for countries, continents and cities", although it can, on extremely rare occasions, come up with existing place names.

I'll take Antikythera, if you don't mind an Eternal Engine for an island. Imports: Tools, Metal, Wood, Paper Exports: Fish, Curios, occasional Treasure

Just how many islands are we contemplating laying out? You have 44 listed there, Ell...30 total would provide essentially 10 islands per faction, so are we aiming for an unbalanced number and putting an Inf system in place to "capture" new areas, or just set it with a more even count across the board?
Also, Marcus' link to the name generator I think is the way to go. Since this is still a more fantasy-type base setup, the names might be a bit more fitting if they're merely derivatives of something else.

We'll start out with no more than 10 islands, but we should be branching out to something along the lines of what we see in SR right now. The goal, of course, is to make sure that the islands are compelling and recognizable in their own right, noticably different, and are plentiful enough to ensure the spice continues to flow smoothly and that unification is possible, albeit hard.
